A VISIT FROM ADUANAS IN MORAIRA –

YACHT DELIVERY EXPORT SERVICES

In September 2023, Motor Yacht Deliveries reset a Temporary Admission on a Princess yacht based in Moraira mainland Spain.

During the washdown the following day we noticed three plain closed individuals on the dock at the back of the yacht. The individuals identified themselves as Spanish Customs and asked politely to board.

They advised us that they were checking the VAT status of all British flagged yachts in the area.

We presented the yachts documentation including all the export documentation from the recent visit to Algiers for them to inspect.

The Aduanas agents completed a Control Document in relation to special tax and asked to if we had AIS records of the export which we showed them via marine traffic.

They advised that there was no need to do any further customs procedures.

They left after 15 minutes leaving us with a copy of the Control Documents.

The whole experience was polite and courteous but this acts as a warning to others who don’t have their documents In order.
